Even after practicing orthodontics for 30 years, I am still excited to come to the office every morning. I absolutely love what I do and am grateful to have the opportunity to provide orthodontic services to my patients. A great smile can raise self-esteem and is a wonderful asset that my patients can enjoy for a lifetime.
I attended the University of Kentucky for my undergraduate studies and continued on to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1976. I practiced as a general dentist in Louisville for four years before returning to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry for an intense two year specialty training program in orthodontics. In 1983, I earned my Certificate in Orthodontics as well as my Master of Science in Dentistry.
I take several continuing education courses every year to stay current with constantly advancing orthodontic technology and treatment options. In addition to these courses, I say involved with the greater orthodontic community by being an active member in several professional organizations, including the:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- Southern Association of Orthodontists
- Kentucky Association of Orthodontists
- American Dental Association
- Kentucky Dental Association
- Louisville Dental Society
All my team members are parents who have gone through the orthodontic treatment experience with their children, themselves, or both. They understand our patients’ concerns and always take the time to explain everything in detail. I am proud to work with such a professional, dedicated, and excellent group of people.
I am married and have two children, Andrew and Evan. If I’m not spending time with my family, I can be found on the golf course!
